Albert “Hurricane” Amescua, age 61, died on March 4, 2012 at his home in Grants Pass, OR surrounded by his family.
Albert was born on September 27, 1950 in Hollywood, CA.  He moved to Grants Pass in 1981 and has been a resident here for the last 31 years.
Albert loved the outdoors and was well known on the Rogue River as a rafting guide.  With his big river hat and big smile, he loved to share his knowledge of the river and prided himself on showing everyone a good time.
He also loved boating and waterskiing with his family and friends. He especially enjoyed showing new skiers how to water ski.
Another favorite time for Albert was the days he spent riding his Harley with his wife “Peaches” always next to him.  They enjoyed taking scenic routes on country roads as well as going on cross-country trips with friends.  His absolute favorite pastime was just spending time at home with his wife Janis and working outside “cutting’ & burning” on the property.
Albert will best be remembered for how many lives he touched with his gregarious personality, fun loving heart, and infectious smile.

Albert is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Janis; his daughter Jackie of Oroville, CA; his son Albert, Jr. “Albie,”  daughter-in-law Wendy, and two grandsons Alec and Darec, all of Petaluma, CA; his mother Delia Lowe and stepfather Dick Lowe of Westlake Village, CA; along with many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

At his request, no funeral services will be held.
